About the Author

Jeff grew up with the tumbleweeds of Bakersfield, California which perhaps gave him a sense of natural wonder and country music rhythm. After college, he and his wife embarked on a thrilling journey spanning 17 different residences across four continents over the course of a 38-year career.

Along with two children, their adventures took them to diverse locales and vibrant cultures, including Texas and Louisiana. In Aberdeen, Scotland, he found new joy in the outdoors with picturesque Highland landscapes, accompanied by lifetime friendships, and the occasional whiskey. Australia hugged him big, bringing him up close with their irrepressible people and scenery. Living in Angola for many years was life changing, causing him to fall in love with her people and bringing him new perspective on Africa.

His academic background includes a bachelor’s and master’s degree in engineering, complementing the wealth of life experiences that shape a unique perspective, vividly reflected in his writing.

Transitioning into this current chapter of his life, he finds joy in various pursuits including traveling the globe, engaging in a competitive game of tennis, crafting artisan jewelry, delving into Bible study, and trying to get his fingers around Mozart’s piano Sonatas. His commitment to community service is reflected in volunteer work including providing meals for needy seniors. He is treating each day as a new adventure!
